The ORAFEC-09 is designed to help companies protect their products and customers from counterfeit components in two ways:

  • Check components as they are received, to ensure that they are valid. Since there is no knowledge of electronics necessary to use it, no special training is necessary.
  • Review suspect components, and analyze test data with suppliers. More advanced users and testers can use a generated report to determine the exact point of failure

The ORAFEC-09 is designed for many types of components, from simple two-pin devices to more complex packages, such as:

  • Dual In-Line (DIL)
  • Small Outline Integrated Component (SOIC)
  • Small Outline Package (SSOP, TSOP)
  • Plastic Leadless Chip Carrier (PLCC)

The hardware is just the first part of what makes the ORAFEC-09 special. Included with it is powerful software to allow you to create your own library of parts. Just enter a reference, insert your part, and you're on your way. Once the ORAFEC-09 has scanned a part, you can save that record, or PinPrint, so that you can call up that trace later on and compare future parts to it. It's the best way to verify that your parts are genuine.

The ORAFEC-09 software can also generate detailed reports designed to give you an overview of a part, so that you can keep a detailed record of results on hand for your files.


The Great Gig in the Sky

In the future, ORAFEC will begin to offer software which will network all these testers together, into one giant system feeding information back to our servers. Using our expertise in supplying part information, ORAFEC will go one step further and begin to make everyone's library of scanned parts available to everyone else.

This will take a lot of the guessing out of verifying a part. Brokers will be able to swiftly and accurately determine whether a part is counterfeit or not. Testing houses will be able to quickly supply an answer to their customers. Manufacturers will be able to place a PinPrint of their part online, making sure that counterfeits are quickly found out, to increase confidence in their components and drive business.
